If you are a federal or state agency working with historic properties or a private property owner, company, or local government agency receiving a grant you may be asked to get a letter from the Oregon SHPO concerning your project's effect on cultural resources. To receive a letter from the our office we will need a completed Oregon SHPO Clearance Form and photos of your project area. In some cases additional documentation may be required. After you have completed the proper documentation, you must give the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) an opportunity to comment. This comment letter is the letter you need.
