Heritage Programs Introduces Speakers Bureau
Looking for a speaker for your next meeting? Have interesting research to share? The Heritage Programs Division of the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department offers a speakers bureau for heritage related topics and currently includes presentations by heritage staff.
Topics relate to heritage resources, historic cemeteries, historic preservation, local and regional history, nonprofit resources and teaching resources. This website gives details about such presentations as "Whodunit: The Burning of Oregon's Capitol in 1935," "The History of the Historic Preservation Movement in the United States and Oregon," "Things to Learn at a Historic Cemetery - Interpretive Ideas and Activities" as well as others.
Anyone with a heritage related presentation or workshop can be listed. The list is an informational resource of prospective speakers. The Heritage Programs Division does not evaluate or schedule the presentations. Speakers should be contacted directly and recommendations should be checked.
